About Pitlair House

Pitlair House is four miles from Cupar, between the villages of Bow of Fife and Pitlessie, a rural setting within 13 acres of its own grounds, surrounded by attractive scenery North and East, with fine views across the Howe of Fife to the majestic Lomond Hills.

The house has been carefully converted to a high-quality nursing home, whilst retaining warmth and character, enhanced by the extensive wood panelling in the spacious public rooms.

Matron/Administrator of Pitlair House is Mrs Jan McIntosh, who was trained at St. Thomas's Hospital, London. Jan was a Charge Nurse in an accident and emergency ward for two years in Northern Ireland before a four-year spell as a medical centre nurse.

While living in Germany, Mrs McIntosh was a ward sister of a medical unit in a German hospital.
